Richard Aslet - Marketing
Consultant
Richard Aslet is an experienced and successful sales and marketing professional. Prior to joining Survey Innovation, he was Sales and Marketing Director for a high-tech analytical equipment manufacturer. Originally trained as a physicist, Richard worked for two years in Research and Development before progressing into various sales and marketing roles. These included technical sales, product management, marketing, public relations, contract management and customer support to major clients in the UK and overseas.
Richard has been involved in the design and preparation of advertising and promotional material, setting up a company databases, mailing lists and direct mail activity. He has planned and organised the installation of computer networks and is experienced in all aspects of IT applications. Richard has conducted many surveys over the years and is very experienced in designing questionnaires.

In his previous role as Sales and Marketing Director, Richard was personally responsible for the development of new markets and the support of existing customers all over the World. He was responsible for selecting and appointing overseas agents, and for ensuring their on-going support. His role involved participation in overseas trade missions and the planning and organisation of exhibitions in the UK and overseas, of which he has considerable experience. He has particularly strong links in the Far East, China, Eastern Europe and South America.
Richard is a Member of the Institute of Physics and an affiliated member of the Chartered Institute of Marketing. He was an elected member of the Council of the Foundry Equipment Suppliers Association and an active member of their export committee.
In his leisure time, Richard enjoys music, playing the piano and singing with the Thanet Male Voice Choir. He is a keen supporter of his local Rugby club, and is actively involved with the British Heart Foundation and several other local charitable organisations.
Richard's 30 years of management experience in the manufacturing industry make him a valuable member of the Survey Innovation team.
